I'm a die hard Jets fan (since they drafted Willie Joe Namath). I fully expect a typical sucky season with the worst QB in the league since they are stuck with a horrendous cap. The Tebow circus will be over as they will release him. Revis is up for grabs to any lucky team that wants him for picks but the guy is going to be a contract nightmare. Oh well, it's only been 44+ years since the last Super Bowl.

This is most excellent. Been a Packers fan all my life since the Lombardi days. We just lost two team leaders in Woodson (realeased) & Driver, (retired) but Aaron Rodgers is DA MAN! What we desperately need to get back to the Super Bowl is an offensive line & some semblance of a defense.

Lions fan here. Things are improving in The D, but there is a lot of work left to do and they don't have much money to work with. I just want to see a Superbowl appearance in my lifetime.

I'd love to see Revis in GB, but no way they can afford him with Rodger's & Matthew's contracts coming up.

Looked like they finally turned the corner for awhile there. I fully expected them to contend for the division last season. I still think they have some of the major pieces in place. Stafford, despite having an off year last season, is the real deal imho. Megatron is...well...Megatron. Suh will be gone soon. They can't afford all three and Suh is probably overpriced for his position. Not to mention, I get the impression he doesn't like it in Detroit. I'd like to see them get Reggie Bush and build the defense through the draft. They have some major cap problems though. While the Mayhew/Schwartz team has improved them big time, I don't think they are good enough to get them into the Superbowl.

Too bad about Suh. If he wasn't such a headcase & played to his huge potential, he could anchor that D for a good 8-10 years yet.

I like Rex Ryan but you're right, he will be gone after this season and it won't be his fault. Although I didn't read this anywhere, I believe the Tebow fiasco was the prior GM's idea (Tannenbaum) and he was fired for it. And although Sanchez is not a good QB, it didn't help to have Tebow there used totally improperly, it often disrupted the momentum. It's too bad because Ryan will likely have success with another team.

Ryan had a big say in drafting Sanchez. They had a good opportunity to get rid of him after his rookie contract ran out but they went ahead and extended his deal with guaranteed money this year.
Do you think Sanchez woulod be on the team right now if it weren't for that quaranteed money? It's not looking good for Ryan right now.
Did you see they signed David Garrard the other day?
Good luck this year!

Hey aqua, what's up with the Fins? That's a team I don't know much about. They're very close. They were very competitive last year. The rookie QB looks like he has the tools to be a good QB but he has to keep the mistakes down. Plus he didn't have much talent around him to get the ball to. And their defense is strong. We have a lot of money for FA's and have a bunch of draft picks. If they hit a couple winners in the draft they'll be strong. Everyone is saying we'll sign Jennings from GB but I rather see us sign Wallace from Pitt.

I'm still hopeful Jennings will stay in GB, but I doubt it. Poor decision to let him go & one they'll regret I'm sure.

Good luck this year! I suppose Ryan did have a say but then again, the Jets have scouts too, he didn't make that decision without some help. As for getting rid of him after his rookie contract ran out, if you remember he was the first QB to get to the Conference final in his first 2 seasons and had a very nice QB rating in the post season. So that would not have made any sense at that time. Of course Sanchez would be gone if not for his hefty contract, which did not have to be re-worked when it was re-worked. As to Garrard, they have NOT signed him, they are however mulling over the possibility. There is not a whole lot out there for the Jets given their cap problems.

They gave two guys guaranteed money who, in my opinion, didn't deserve it. Sanchez and Holmes. Trust me, I don't root for the Jets to do well. I'm glad they're in this situation. I want to ask you about Holmes. It really bothered me at the time and I'm not even a fan. Remember when he got hurt last year? Didn't it bother you when it happened he threw the ball up in the air letting the 49ers score a TD instead of falling on the ball or throwing it out of bounds? www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-am/0ap2000000069009/Santonio-Holmes-foot-injury

Yeah that was a really curious thing Holmes did. I have to assume he didn't mean to do that but it certainly sucked.
BTW one of my sons is a fish fan and I hate them as much as I hate the Patsies (no offense of course).

I heard a blurb on him the other day from the other room and didn't catch it. The Bears could use a tight end ...or anyone that can catch a ball for that matter....

He's got one more year on his contract & last I heard it sounded like they were gonna keep him, although he hasn't done s**t in two years except run his mouth. I think they should trade him for whatever they can get. GB has other TEs.

We already have one of those in Kellen Davis. Hopefully they find one in the draft. Free agency should be interesting this year.

How did the Pack end up with 20 million in cap space? Releasing Woodson gave them 10 mil & Driver's retirement added some...not sure about the rest. Most if not all will go for Rodger's & Matthew's contracts so hopefully they can juggle the books & get a couple O linemen & another pass rusher.

Unfortunately for Rivers the former GM AJ Smith let a lot of his weapons go(Sproles, Vincent Jackson) combined with a bad offensive line probably means the Super Bowl window has closed for my beloved Bolts.

Ive noticed that they don't hang on to many of thier better players. Pretty much just Rivers & Gates now, isn't it? And I would suppose Gates is about at the end.
