Two words NORV TURNER! Unfortunately for Rivers the former GM AJ Smith let a lot of his weapons go(Sproles, Vincent Jackson) combined with a bad offensive line probably means the Super Bowl window has closed for my beloved Bolts. Ive noticed that they don't hang on to many of thier better players. Pretty much just Rivers & Gates now, isn't it? And I would suppose Gates is about at the end. Yes, Gates has maybe 2 years left. It seems to be that way for the Chargers and Padres, they just don't keep their own talent on the roster.

Dolphins making big moves!!! Signing Mike Wallace and LB. Dannell Ellerbe yesterday. With five picks in the first 3 rounds of the draft Miami's days as a doormat are over.

I've seen too many players get their money and then not live up to the hype too many times. But I'd rather they do something than nothing at all. We got what we needed most, a playmaker on offense, and they're not done yet. We'll see what happens.

Miami's situation is entirely different than Philly's was. (instant Super Bowl, just add money, lol) Wallace & Ellerbe are solid players that will help Miami compete over the long term. They did the right thing, imo.

So Wes Welker has signed a two year deal with the Broncos. Pretty good fit for him and the Broncos IMO. Not quite as good as New England but Wes should do pretty well there playing in the slot with Manning throwing him the ball.

The Lions made a surprising number if signings. They had little money, but Suh restructured his deal to free up cap space. A surprising move for me. I thought Duh wanted out if Detroit. Reggie Bush will give them that much needed running back to compliment a lethal passing attack. Along with a solid cover safety and a decent DE and resigning a CB they could solidify that D in the draft, nit easy to do though, and be a playoff contender again.

Brady is going to have to make him better if they want to replace Welker's stats.

There was talk all last season of letting Welker go, but I really didn't think they would. I'm sure he & Manning will click well though.

Can't say I'm happy to hear it, lol. Bush will make Megatron even more dangerous. Green Bay had better pick up a couple defensive guys.

As usual GB is letting the free agent market slip away. We had a great shot at Steven Jackson, but miserly tight ass Ted Thompson wouldn't ante up so now Jackson's with Atlanta. So far he's only brought in former Packer Johnny Jolly, a 3 time convicted drug dealer whose been suspended for three years. But hey, they got him for the league minimum...YAY!

I say he has 2 good years left in him.

Lions fan here. Things are improving in The D, but there is a lot of work left to do and they don't have much money to work with. I just want to see a Superbowl appearance in my lifetime. I'm a Packer fan, but I can appreciate the Lions... and will root for them when they're not playing the Pack...

NJ Jets - Who would have thought this team was going to be competitive this season? Even I gave them up for dead before the season started and I've been a Jets fan since they drafted Joe Namath.
