This spot is just south of the Torrey Pines golf course where many a tournament has been played. The wind wasn't favorable for the usual gliders. When the wind is right, pilots can deploy their sails and lift off like an elevator, rising straight up. Had lunch at the little solar powered cafe and snapped a couple of shots of the spectacular day... That's La Jolla in the distance. As you can imagine, some of the most expensive real estate in the country is here. Looking north, the golf course is on the right. The coast line bends west up by Oceanside, where Camp Pendleton trains U.S. Marines. Semper Fi! OK, so I snagged this one from the internet just to get the idea across what this place is. This photo has obviously been doctored to enhance the para sails.

gorgeous. god i love the ocean. for the land locked states i feel for them... imagine how they feel the first time if they ever get to the coasts? Being raised a military brat, I never had the displeasure of being too far away from the coast, so it's hard for me to imagine what it must be like for a landlubber who never or rarely gets to ocean water. California, Florida, Hawaii the North Carolina and back to California. The beach has never been farther than 20 minutes away. Blessed that way! With the next phase of life on the foreseeable horizon, I will never be too far from the ocean. You might enjoy these photo's from the "Self Realization Temple" in Encinitas Ca, which is just south of the Moonlight Beach sunset photo posted a while back. The temple was established by Paramahansa Yogananda in the 20's. It is an absolutely stunning piece of property atop a cliff where good, loving work for mankind is done. The beach below the grounds is known as "Swamies" HAHAHA. Leave it to surfer dudes. The brothers tend the grounds with amazing attention to detail. There is rarely a fallen leaf that isn't dealt with. Stunningly impeccable ground keeping and a wonderfully relaxing place to visit..
