Rugby is by and large a lot like American Football, except there's no body armour or crash helmets and no forward passes. Scoring system I believe is very similar. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rugby_unionThere are some marked differences between Rugby Union, and Rugby League which broke away in 1895 in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. Rugby Union is traditionally an Amateur sport which until recently had strict limits on pay for players, whilst League had no such limitations. In Union a player tackled must let go of the ball, in League the player can retain the ball until he has been tackled five times. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rugby_LeagueLeague is very popular in Northern England. Many of my friends are fans of Leeds Rhinos but I like the Cas Tigers.
