I spent countless hours at it as a kid & still enjoy putting one together from time to time. Here's my Ed "Big Daddy" Roth display. Click on the photo to enlarge.

I used to build Airfix and Matchbox kits when I was a kid. Tried recently getting back into it, I'm painting up a black and red 1:72 scale Spitfire VB but it's not assembled yet, may post pics when it's done.

Last one was a very nice Tamiya 1/12 scale Porsche 917. Very detailed and great fun to build. Not sure I have the time or patience to take on the job anymore. These days, I work on full scale vehicles. The current hobby is a 1974 GMC motorhome. The only vehicle every designed to be a motorhome. Everything before and since start life as a van, bus or existing chassis modified to fill the roll of a house on wheels. Any way, these days, my connection to Rat Fink is memories and a few cool tee shorts worn on Cruise nights during the summer. Great photo of your collection. Thanks for the memories.

Ha! That Spitfire Vb the first one I ever did back in the 80's, I got that, a Douglas Skyraider and an OV10 Bronco as part of a starter pack. It's got 303 Squadron Polish markings, the real one was flown by Squadron Leader Jan Zumbach, I've still got the instructions with potted history of the aircraft somewhere. Happy days Whoever painted that model did a cracking job.

Best ever airfix spit has to be this one though: It's 1:1 scale Before assembly it looked like this: The aircraft behind are DeHavilland DH106 Comet, Folland Gnat (ex Red Arrows) and going by the tailplane what looks to me to be a DeHavilland Canada DHC1 Chipmunk.

Sounds like a cool hobby. I don't know much about motorhomes, except there are a lot of them around here, sitting for sale & mostly pieces of s**t I wouldn't take for free, lol. Your GMC I assume was made in Canada...they usually put a little more effort into vehicles there, or at least used to.
