Wish I could've found a live version...cool video though. Don't hesitate to turn up the volume.

Dan Fogelberg is the third-best musician I've ever seen (Prince and Bruce Springsteen being 1 and 2). I love him!
I saw him once in an acoustic tour. He played guitar for the first half, then piano for the second. I'm not a bad guitarist myself, but Dan Fogelberg was just unbelievable. I can play a lot of his songs, but I can't PLAY them 1/100th as well as Fogelberg did.
A true genius. Thank you for posting this!

I know what you mean...there's playing & there's PLAYING. It was hearing too many guys like that which forced me to face the harsh realities of my music "career"...as in keeping the day job, lol!

Dan was taken from us entirely too early. I've got everything he ever published on vinyl, and most of it on CD but not High Country Snow. Thanks to your reminder, the CD is on its way from Amazon. :-)

Thanks to your reminder, the CD is on its way from Amazon. :-) High Country Snows was a very obscure album, which it seems most of his fans never heard. As far as I know, it was a bet with someone that he couldn't do Bluegrass. Obviously he could & did it very well. I heard "Sutter's Mill" on the radio once around the time the album was released & it took me years to find the name of the album & track it down,(before the internet) finally finding it at a junkshop for a dollar, lol.
