The Seeds of Death is also the title of a classic six part Dr Who story from 1969 starring Patrick Troughton as the 2nd Doctor and Frazer Hines as Highlander Jamie McCrimmon.
But I digress, genetically modified organisms are designed to be resistant to incredibly strong pesticides. We aren't, nor are the farmers.

It's not as good as The Invasion, but it's still brilliant. Patrick Troughton was in my opinion the best of all the Doctors, Pertwee being a VERY close 2nd.
But yeah, our bodies are not designed to metabolise pesticides and any food contaminated with them, well time will tell what the long term consequences are, but I worry.
