My other favorite sport. Besides being a Jets fan, I'm also a NY Red Bulls fan, another circus that has never won MLS Cup. But I also follow soccer world wide and I support (national teams) US and France and (club teams) Manchester United and AC Milan.

Was that on today? Too bad I missed it. I guess Milan and Barcelona tomorrow? I don't watch too much pro soccer but I started watching the EPL last year with the whole Manchester City-Manchester United drama. That last day was WILD. I really enjoy the EPL. It's a lot of fun to watch. Too bad Balotelli could hang in there with City. He was the reason the won that last game last year. When he came in late in the game he really sparked the offense. He created the last goal by keeping the ball alive in the box and making the pass to Tevez.

Tim Howard is out for the next USA World Cup qualifier vs Costa Rica. Brad Guzan will be in goal. We MUST get 3 points or we're going to be in deep s**t.
Meanwhile the USA ladies kicked some Chinese ass 5-0 to stays atop of their group in the Algarve Cup. They only need a draw vs Sweden to win Group A, regardless they qualify for the next round.

I spent 45 years making fun of soccer, and then the light turned on inside my brain.
I *LOVE* this sport. It blows away all the others with the possible exception of baseball. But I live in Houston and we have a complete idiot for an owner, so for baseball I follow the Rice Owls.
Anyway, soccer is awesome. I sold my Houston Texans season tickets and PSL this year, but I've kept my Houston Dynamo seats. After two second-place finishes in MLS, this is our year!

There is another rumor that Manchester United wants Christiano Ronaldo back from Real Madrid. I don't see that happening.
And yet another ongoing rumor that Kaka will go to NY Red Bulls during the summer transfer window. I hope that one comes true. It would be fantastic to see Henry, Kaka & Juninho on the same team.

Christiano may play for Real Madrid but his heart is for Manchester. I believe the fans would want and welcome him back at Old Trafford. Christiano has found the net in 11 out of the last 18 games. Scoring 19 in all. Quite a feat.

Barca trashed Milan 4-0 to go through to the next round on a 4-2 aggregate. Messi scored twice. In my opinion this guy is the greatest soccer player in history and he's still quite young. It's the first time any team has come back from a 2 goal deficit in a UEFA Champions' knockout without scoring an away goal.

USA 1 Costa Rica 0 in a World Club qualifier played in Colorado in a blizzard. That moves the US from last place to 2nd in the group. Next up Mexico at Azteca, these $%#$@ers are unbeatable at home but we did beat them once in the last friendly.

One of the greatest moments in English football for you: Here's some highlights of the excellent York City vs Manchester United match from 1996:
I'm a Leeds man myself, but have quite a soft spot for the Minster Men.
Another team I've a soft spot for is the Bantams (Bradford City), they got through to the final of the League Cup this year despite being two tiers below and knocking out three Premiership teams to get there.

Mexico 0 USA 0 in a World Cup qualifier yesterday. It's only the second time in history that the US got a point at Azteca in a WC qualifier so that was huge for the US.

Mexico 0 USA 0 in a World Cup qualifier yesterday. It's only the second time in history that the US got a point at Azteca in a WC qualifier so that was huge for the US. Yes, that WAS huge. Our defense was fantastic, wasn't it? Mexico had so many chances that I thought were goal shots for sure, only to have an American defender show up at exactly the right time, in exactly the right place. Jurgen Klinsman rocks!

Although Brad Guzan was huge between the pipes, we got lucky. There was a questionable penalty and another that was not so questionable and neither were called. I'm not that sold on Klinsmann yet. Our defense is really thin and he failed to call up Bocanegra, that was baffling. We're also missing whining $%#$@ Landon Donovan who is invaluable, but that's not Klinsmann's fault.

What a thrashing by German sides:
Bayern Munich 4 Barcelona 0
Dortmund 4 Real Madrid 1 (Robert Lewandowski scored all 4 goals)
Unless there's a massive miracle on the return leg, it looks like an all German final.

My PSLs sold for the 4th-highest price ever on the Texans PSL marketplace, which was 3x what I paid for them.
