Before the Red Arrows display team, there were a few different RAF display teams, the Black Arrows, the Yellow Jacks and the Blue Diamonds. Black Arrows: 22 Hawker Hunter loop (to this day a world record) You may recognise this type of plane from the film Hot Shots!, it's a Folland Gnat of the Yellowjacks: Blue Diamonds: What do you think ?

What do you think ? No time for a more thoughtful reply, so for now---- Love the name "Gnat"! Annoying little bastards! And the under belly shots of inverted flight? VERY COOL! Thanks for the contributions!

Glad you like them Folland Gnats were great planes, the CFI from my gliding club has been up in one, he said it was very responsive, virtually no need to use the rudder pedals at all.
