Don't lose hope the Cubbies could be come back kids remember the 1969 Amazing Mets The 1969 Mets won 100 games and had the best pitching staff in MLB . Mets were 25 -23 after 48 games Cubs are 18- 30 and finished.

Don't delude yourself Chuckie-The Cubs were out of it before the season ever started. I was expecting the Yankees to be out of it too. They really surprised me so far , but there is plenty of time left for a collapse.

My favorite story about the Cubbies goes back to '89 when they played the Giants for the National League Championship... ...and as the story goes, it's late September and a minister is making the case for miracles in his Sunday sermon... he concludes, simply. 'And if you still don't believe in miracles, consider that it's September, and the Cubs are still in first place.
