It's the only Dornier 17 type bomber left in the world. Four Heinkel HE111 medium bombers survive as do a number of Spanish CASA built Merlin engined 2.111's (which to the untrained eye look just like a HE111).

The Luftwaffe didn't like the RAF using them for target practice.

I've "flown" in the He-111 and even multi-crewed as the gunner (the other player the pilot) in Battleground Europe, only simulated of course lol The bomber is like a giant shark with it's canopies, guns, wingspan and bombs. Great historic bomber.

I see they got it raised. Pretty well intact, considering. I wonder how long it'll take to get it ready for display?
