before I go to work I will stop at Apple Bee's and buy the two guards who are working graveyards ribs and fries as a reward for not missing work or being late all month and I'll stop at the store and pick up three of Samuel Adams to go with them.

before I go to work I will stop at Apple Bee's and buy the two guards who are working graveyards ribs and fries as a reward for not missing work or being late all month and I'll stop at the store and pick up three of Samuel Adams to go with them. I have worked a few stints in the security industry, the last time about 8 years ago for a fairly large hospital, in house, a 24 X 7 X 365 operation. Some of it boring patrol, lockup, escorts and public greeting, some of it involving criminal threatening towards one's family and self, wrestling, spitting, weapons, contraband and the hazards of dodging bodily fluids among other things. It is surprising where and how people can hide things! And I chuckle when I see you say "guard", as the staff there would get upset with that word and insist on using the word officer. In any event, I saw and experienced leadership do similar things along the lines of what you posted, and I'm glad to see this practice and treatment of one's employees in the security field is still alive and well. I'm sure it is deserved and appreciated.

even if it's assumed... being told that one's work is a job well done & appreciated goes a long way...
