Best news of the day! Now Tebow is free to go to a team that will utilize his talents and leadership to their fullest ability. I predict a Superbowl ring on Tebow's finger within five years.
The Jets are the dumbest franchise in the NFL.

I wouldn't go that far, but I agree that he has been utilized badly and will do better elsewhere. Probably a mid-playoff team.

Why is it that the Libs seem to have such a hate on against Tebow. He's done nothing to warrant that except admit he is a Christian and that seems to endanger the Liberal concept in such a way as to paint a heavy hate on anyone that would be that up front about what they believe. Better I guess to hide in the background and pretend that the Satanic influences in this country are "where it is". People commit sins and are not perfect even though they are Christians. I guess being imperfect and unwilling to admit it makes Satanism that much more attractive.

I am a "liberal" and I love Tebow. Again, you are a moron.

If you are an exception to my post (although I don't recall naming anyone in particular) then you have no dog in the fight. Name calling is the back up for people who can't discuss or debate.

I just dont think Tebow has what it takes for the NFL. But I fully support his faith in Our Lord Jesus Christ.

Thank you for confirming that you are far more off your rocker and the reservation than anyone could have previously imagined. You should go back to crying about bush jr. and how his launching of 2 wars of aggression are somehow obama's fault. Even though the DOD decides on surges, pull outs and troop levels, obama managed to get us out of iraq and is working on afghanistan. It's like saying that bloody catastrophe bush senior created in somalia and left for clinton was clinton's fault. The blood on the hands of those who supported these evils and told themselves it's ok because christians aren't perfect and somehow "obama did it too" won't wash off now, and i'll bet that god can see it.

The best part is that one of the board's most ardent conservatives started this thread, crapping on Tebow, so Mary immediately jumps in and starts blaming "liberals". That's what makes her post moronic.

I'm a Jets fan and have been since they drafted Willie Joe Namath. The Tebow acquisition was a typical Jets media circus joke, that's been the history of the franchise. They had 6 QBs and now have to get rid of 2 more (Simms & McElroy are next on the chopping block). NFL Football is not about religion so the Tebow/religion thingy was just one more distraction. I wish Tebow the best, I have nothing against him, he is a true gentleman but he's not an NFL level QB. What happened wasn't his fault, it was all Jets management and some got fired for it (specifically GM Mike Tannenbaum). I was hoping the Jets would try to convert him to a RB, FB or TE if he has the potential skills as he seems to exhibit.

What I don't get is that Tebow took the Broncos as far as sure-fire Hall-of-Famer Peyton Manning did and yet, people are still saying Tebow can't play quarterback. But he can. He took a losing team, turned it around, and went 8-2 and made the playoffs. Then he beat the defending AFC champion Pittsburgh Steelers in his first playoff game. Sure, he sucked against the Patriots (who went to the Super Bowl that year), but who doesn't? At least Tebow can say he had some broken ribs. Matt Schaub, who was humiliated by the Patriots in the playoffs last year, can't say that and he's a Pro Bowl quarterback. What more proof do people need?

Let us not forget:
Tebow was handed a losing Broncos team, turned it around, went 8-2 and beat the Steelers in the playoffs
Manning was handed a playoff team that had beaten the Steelers in the playoffs.
I can't fault the Broncos for picking up Manning. I love Tebow, but Manning is one of the best to ever play the game. And the Broncos were smart to leverage Tebow's value in a trade.
But still - Tebow is a winning quarterback.

Tebow was criticized by at least one of his teammates on the Jets who said "he's awful". There's a good reason why no other NFL team picked him up.

He has trouble reading defenses and has a problem with accuracy. Two deficiencies that will keep a quarterback from playing in the NFL no matter how much physical talent you have.

He has trouble reading defenses and has a problem with accuracy. Two deficiencies that will keep a quarterback from playing in the NFL no matter how much physical talent you have. That's not what his record on the field says. And you do know that he was the most accurate passer in NCAA history, right? I know they aren't the same throws as in the NFL, but it's not like the man can't hit the broad side of a barn. Bottom line is this - people can say whatever they want, but when Tebow has been the starter for an NFL team, he has won and taken his team to the playoffs.
